Sonoran Systems Inc. said Wednesday it has “no plans” to enter the digital music business, a day after Apple announced a new $5 billion deal to buy the music streaming service.

In a statement to the Financial Times, Sonoran said it “continues to be committed to providing customers with the best, most up-to-date software for their mobile devices.”

Sonoran Systems has been operating a virtual music business since 1999, and the software company, whose founder was once an executive at Apple, has built software that helps people get music from their phone, tablet or computer to their ears and into their ears.

The company said it does not compete with Apple Music, the streaming music service that is available in more than 180 countries.

Sonoran is a subsidiary of the music company Arista Corp. of California.

It had $2.5 billion in revenue last year.

Apple Music is available on Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads, and is supported by the Apple Music app.

Apple Music is supported in more countries than Sonoran, but Sonoran is currently not compatible with the app.

Apple did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.

Sonora’s chief executive, Michael Hurd, said in a statement that he had “great respect” for Apple Music and the way it has evolved over the years.

“I’m proud to say that Sonora continues to be the company that delivers the best in digital music for consumers,” Hurd said.

    Apple declined to comment.

Sonorus Corp. , a San Francisco-based music software company with offices in Austin and Boston, has also been operating virtual music businesses.

Sonoras software includes “a vast library of over 25,000 songs from more than 100,000 artists and genres,” according to its website.

Sonoruses software also can be used to stream music from devices such as tablets, smartphones and computers to users’ ears, and also to stream audio to smartphones and other connected devices.

Sonora’s software includes an audio interface that can be accessed by a user.

Sonomas software was developed by the company in 2007.

Sonoras technology is based on “deep learning,” a new type of artificial intelligence that can learn from the sounds and music that it hears.

The technology can process information and make decisions based on the data it receives.

Sonoral’s software is also available to music services and music streaming apps such as Spotify and Pandora.
