Microsoft has added Cortana to its list of voice-activated assistants for its Windows devices, giving users access to its most advanced systems software.
The company has made Cortana available to Windows phones, tablets and PCs for the first time, and it will be available on other Microsoft platforms as well, including Xbox and Windows Phone.
Microsoft launched Cortana in June with a few hundred million Windows phones and tablets, but now the company says it has reached 100 million.
Cortana now has a suite of over 30 voice-recognition features that can help users to find information about people, places and places.
Cortana can also give directions, find a restaurant or a shopping destination and provide more detailed information about a specific event, such as the weather.
Microsoft says Cortana is now available on more than 200 Windows 10 devices, including the Lumia 950, 950 XL, 950 and 1020, the Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4, the Xbox One X and Xbox One S, the PC and Mac, and the Surface Book, the laptop and desktop.
It can now be used on Windows 10 PCs and laptops, tablets, and smartphones, Microsoft says.
Users can access Cortana through an interface in Cortana’s main screen.
It will be able to ask users to ask questions or perform simple tasks, such like find information or directions.
Cortana also has a search feature that can provide suggestions and suggestions can be used in its Cortana app.
Microsoft said Cortana can work across Microsoft devices, with apps available for Windows phones running on Windows, Windows 10 tablets running on iOS and Android, and Windows PCs running on Microsoft Windows.
The company says users can access all Cortana features, from location to search, through Cortana.
Cognitive assistant and social networking platform company Facebook also has Cortana for Windows, which is available on iOS, Android and Windows 10.
