A Palestinian youth group is testing a new system that allows Palestinian students to learn how to operate a smartphone in school.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Electronic Society (PES), the new system is being developed by the Palestinian Information and Communication Technology (PIC) group.
The PAL group is trying to provide Palestinian youths with the knowledge they need to start using technology, PES said.PES is based in the West Bank city of Ramallah and supports Palestinian youth in a number of fields including social work, education, journalism and journalism studies.
Palestine is currently home to about half of the world’s Palestinians.
In the past few years, Palestinian youth have been engaged in protests against Israeli occupation and have engaged in clashes with Israeli security forces, with at least 30 Palestinians killed.
